A Place to Rest and Reconnect
One of our most cherished visions is a healing and retreat center set within the jungle landscape of Valle Armonia — a place where people can come to rest, cleanse, and reconnect with themselves.
The Setting
The center will be located towards the back of our valley, on top of the same ridge as our village center — about a ten-minute walk away. It is a relatively large, flat area with an impressive view: isolated, quiet, and surrounded by forest. The perfect conditions for deep rest and healing.
What We're Creating
We envision a facility with a multi-use space for group activities such as yoga classes, health and healing lectures, massage, and energy work. Alongside this will be a kitchen, a small building with two rooms for professional healing treatments, and bathroom facilities.
Private Refuges in the Forest
At least twelve small huts will encircle the central facility, nestled in the forested area adjoining — each one a private refuge for guests on their healing journey.
The Heart of the Program
At the core of the healing center will be cleansing with juices and raw foods — mostly fruit, with an ever-increasing share grown by community members on their own parcels. If a client chooses, fasting for an agreed upon number of days can also be included in the middle of the cleanse. Alternative healing arts practitioners who live in our community — such as massage therapists, acupuncturists, herbalists, homeopaths, astrologers, spiritual counselors, and plant medicine therapists — will serve our guests according to their needs and desires.
The Detail
The center we envision will have a multi-use space for yoga and meditation, massage and other types of hands-on healing classes, attending lectures on health and holistic healing, and more. A large kitchen, a building with two rooms for professional healing treatments, and another structure with showers and flush toilets will be nearby. Small huts of various sizes will encircle the central facility. These living spaces will be simple, yet comfortable and inviting. Some clients will choose to spend most of their days in their inner process, similar to a traditional vision quest (North American tribes) or a "dieta" (South American Amazonian tribes). Those of us running the center will encourage people to go as deeply as possible.
As previously stated, cleansing with juices and raw foods, along with fasting when appropriate, will be at the foundation of our program. Most of the fruit will come from our own trees, ensuring the highest nutritional and energetic quality. It's common for people engaged in a deeper cleansing process to experience a "healing crisis." This is an opportunity to release the old and open to unlimited transformational possibilities. Assistance from our therapists can help facilitate the highest possible outcome.
