Before You Arrive
We ask all volunteers and Guests to please read our entire website prior to your arrival. This will save us untold hours answering multitudes of questions that are already addressed in our website. Thank you very much for your consideration!
How Volunteering Works
We accept full and part-time volunteers. A full time volunteer works 25 hours/week. You are provided an enclosed living space, the use of our communal facilities, and freshly harvested produce from our land. Volunteers must buy the rest of their food, which they can prepare in our well-stocked community kitchen. You are of course welcome to join us in our regular shopping expeditions to Hone Creek and Puerto Viejo. Part-time volunteers work half as many hours and pay half of the guest fee. Volunteers must commit to a minimum of one week.
